Roxan Dictionary is a free multilingual offline dictionary. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app on Android or Windows. The most important thing to know is:

Roxan Dictionary does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or search history. The app is designed to function entirely on your device without needing our servers.

2Information We Do NOT Collect

To be explicit for Google Play Store compliance and your peace of mind, we confirm we do not access, collect, use, or share:

  • Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, or phone number (unless you choose to email us for support separately).
  • Device ID or Advertising ID: We do not use Android Advertising ID (AAID) or any device fingerprinting.
  • Search Queries & Dictionary Lookups: When you type a word into Roxan, the search happens locally inside the app database on your phone. We have no way of seeing what word you are looking up.
  • Location Data: We do not request or collect precise or coarse location.
  • Crash Logs or Diagnostics: The app does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs (like Firebase, Google Analytics, or Crashlytics).

3Offline Functionality & Language Packs

As stated in the app description:

The English–Persian dictionary is built into the app installer.

When you choose to download an Additional Language Pack, the app connects to a public and secured hosting service to download additional dictionaries.

This download is anonymous. We do not track which language pack you download. We do not require you to create an account or log in.

Once the file is downloaded and unpacked on your device, the dictionary works completely offline with no internet connection required.

4Permissions Explained

Roxan Dictionary may request the following Android permissions for the specific reasons listed below:

Why We Need It: Solely for downloading additional language packs when you request them from the "Download Dictionaries" screen. It is not used for ads or tracking.
💾Storage Access
Why We Need It: To save downloaded dictionary files to your device's internal storage so they can be used offline.

5Voluntary Contact (Email Support)

The app contains a Feedback section, inviting you to send feedback or report problems via email.

If you choose to email us, we will receive your email address and the content of your message.

How we use this: We use this information only to reply to your specific query or fix a bug you reported.

Storage: We do not add your email to a marketing list or newsletter. We do not share your email with third parties.

6Third-Party Services

Roxan Dictionary does not use any third-party code libraries (SDKs) that transmit data off the device. There are:

Roxan Dictionary does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As the app does not have user accounts, chat features, or data collection mechanisms, it is safe for use by all ages in an offline capacity.
